Porsche Launches 100 EV Charging Stations in Turkey Aims to Double in One Year

Germany’s automotive giant Porsche launched 100 charging stations across Turkey for its electric models becoming the first brand to make at least one charging point available near each electric car it sold in Turkey.

According to the statement released by the company, all Porsche charging stations have at least 100KW charging capacity while three charging stations provide 350 KW thus becoming the fastest charging stations in Turkey.

Porsche Turkey marketing manager Selim Eskinazi stressed that 350 KW stations would charge the battery of its sports model Taycan up to 80 percent under 22 minutes. Eskinazi also said the company has been working on installing home charging stations for 335 clients whom ordered the Taycan model for 2021.

Porsche unveiled its first electric sports model Taycan for Turkish market in 2020 making the company the largest selling electric car brand.

Turkey also plans to star producing its own domestic electric car in 2023 bringing competition to the promising market.
